Agulus Joins the NGFA and GEAPS

Agulus is proud to be a member of the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) and the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS). Relationships are deeply important in agriculture. We’re not here just to sell our product; we’re here to listen, participate, and help.

The NGFA is a non-profit trade association founded in 1896. For over a century, NGFA has focused on enhancing the growth and economic performance of US agriculture. Representing over 1,000 member companies and 7,000 facilities, NGFA members handle over 70% of all US grains and oilseed used in domestic and export markets.

GEAPS is an international association of individuals involved in the grain handling and processing industry. Founded in 1930, GEAPS fosters leadership, innovation, and excellence in the grain industry. GEAPS represents over 2,800 individuals from over 1,150 businesses across 20 countries.

SCRA Awards Grant to AgTech Startup Agulus

South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) awards Agulus, Inc. a $25,000 product development grant. This grant funds a product-market fit campaign targeted at agricultural commodity brokers and traders. Greenville, South Carolina-based Agulus offers a SaaS platform for the agricultural industry. Agulus provides brokers, buyers, farmers, freight companies, and more with a collaborative cloud-based platform for facilitating the sale and transport of crops and livestock. Agulus has facilitated the trade of over $30B in agricultural goods and services across the United States while providing cost savings and new market opportunities to our customers.

Agulus Selected as a Finalist for 2020 InnoVision Awards

We are excited to announce that Agulus is an InnoVision Award finalist!  On Tuesday, October 6th, at 4:00, InnoVision will recognize all of the finalists in the Technology Integration and Sustainability categories.  We’re excited and humbled that our efforts to support farmers and the agricultural industry is being recognized. InnoVision Awards had a record number of award applications this year.  They will host a series of online receptions on Tuesdays at 4:00 between September 29 and October 20th. Each week, InnoVision will introduce and celebrate a group of finalists.  

InnoVision Awards, established in 1999, is South Carolina’s premier organization dedicated to the advancement of innovation and technology.  InnoVision is the only organization of its kind – a grass-roots, volunteer-led non-profit made up of businesses, organizations, universities, and individuals dedicated to recognizing innovation in South Carolina.  We honor innovation in products, services, and education from across the state, and recognize innovators for achievements in their respective fields.  An InnoVision Award is the mark of distinction for outstanding leadership, innovation, and technological excellence.

Ginger Kowal – Agulus Geospatial Science Advisor

Ginger Kowal is an ecologist and developer of software tools that illuminate and explore complex ecological networks in spatial dimensions. As a scientist and software developer with the Natural Capital Project based at Stanford University, she builds tools and approaches that enable diverse stakeholders to come together, solve tough problems, and create win-wins for people, economies, and nature. Married to a farmer, she is passionate about local food and about finding ways to sustain vibrant rural livelihoods.
